Overview of the Federal Regulations

When was the last time you were updated on the Motor Carrier Federal Regulations? Many changes have occurred over the last several years—let us bring you up-to-date.

Topics include driver qualifications, hours-of-service, drug and alcohol testing, general hazardous materials and vehicle qualifications.

A current Federal Regulation book will be provided.

Michigan Public Act 181 Overview

This Act is the basis for enforcement of the commercial vehicle rules in Michigan. Act 181 pulls the Federal and State trucking rules together, adopts parts of the FMCSR into state law, provides some exemptions for specific types of motor carriers and sets the fines for violations of the regulations.

Act 181 is revised frequently and was almost completely rewritten in 2005. This update caused a loss of many exemptions for motor carriers that operate wholly in Michigan. Are you still operating your business as though you have a valid exemption from following the rules? Are you entitled to an exemption from the FMCSR but don't realize it? Do you understand how the changes in this Act impacts your business? Maybe its time to look into it...

Seating Limited to 20 people - Register today!

Registration fees are non-refundable 48 hours before seminar; substitutions are strongly encouraged.
