Rep. Wayne Schmidt
Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure
Committee Rep. Schmidt will be
addressing our breakfast attendees on topics such as
diesel fuel taxes, road repair and other current
issues that affect Michigan trucking. Time will be
allowed for a brief Q&A session.
State Representative Wayne A. Schmidt is
currently in his third term in the Michigan House of
Representatives after being elected to office in
November of 2008, 2010, and 2012. He serves the
104th House district which covers all of Grand
Traverse County. Rep. Schmidt is chair of the House
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and
Joint Capitol Committee; he is also a member of the
Commerce, Financial Liability Reform, and Energy &
Technology Committees. Before being elected to the
House of Representatives, Schmidt served on the
Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners for 10
years, being elected by his fellow commissioner's as
both Chair and Vice Chair.
