Michigan Trucking Association Eastern and Western Councils of Safety
Management Earn ATA Magna Cum Laude Safety Award!
Michigan Trucking Association's Eastern & Western Safety Management
Councils, based on their 2009 activities, have earned an American Trucking
Associations Safety Management Council Award.
To qualify for the award MTA submitted, on behalf of the councils, a safety
binder that included council meeting minutes, activities such as scale
inspections and supporting documentation of other council involvement.
The binder was then judged by a team of motor carrier professionals which
examined it with respect to the depth and breath of the councils' safety
programs. The councils' achievements received the grade Magna Cum Laude
(with high honor).
ATA will pay tribute to this achievement at the State Association
Recognition Program Awards Luncheon at the 2010 Safety & Human Resources
National Conference & Exhibition, September 29, 2010 in Rogers, AR.
